Some members were concerned about the size and location of Brother James place to hold our service. He was the one that volunteered his place and was so excited for it to happen and happen it did. I can't express in words what a great spiritual experience this was. This will always be remembered as one of the highlights of our mission.

Sacrament Meeting @ Brother James
On Sunday the 16th of January 2011, we took sacrament meeting to some of the faithful members in Lucea. Ever since they closed the branch in Lucea many of the members have not been able to come to church in MoBay. Most of them struggle with the fare to take a taxi in to church. Then there is Brother James who just turned a hundred years old and would have a real hard time getting into church. Elder Sorensen and I visit these members, over in Lucea, every week and try to help them stay strong in the gospel. The only problem is that they miss out on partaking of the sacrament and renewing their baptismal covenants. So we talked with the Branch Presidency and the Mission President to see if we could have a sacrament service once a month over in Lucea. Brother James offered his small humble dwelling on the sea shore to have sacrament service. He tells us each week that he sure would like to partake of the sacrament again before he dies. So as you see we did get permission and did hold our first sacrament service on the seashore at Brother James. President Grant from the MoBay branch presided over the service. Elder Sorensen took charge of adminstering the sacrament and I did the music with the aide of my little boom box. Then Elder Sorensen and I gave a short talk on faith and President Grant was the concluding speaker and also spoke on faith.
