Soon Come!

In Jamaica they say, " soon come", when they are about ready to do something.  Sometimes it is a short time and sometimes it is a long time.  Well Elder and Sister Sorensen will soon come.  We have just less than a month till we will be home.
I thought I would post a few things that have taken place since I last updated my blog.
We have another new missionary from  Alberta Canada.  His name is Elder Stubbs.
He and ElderTrumpet are both big boys and both from Canada.

Missionary work continues to do well here in Montego Bay.  Last Sunday there was a baptisim for a young man by the name of Ricky.  Next Sunday two more young men will be getting
baptised .  Our Elders work hard and do a great job.

Today was district meeting and the Zone Leaders, Elder Mackey and Elder Randle, from Ochi came over for the meeting.  It was great to see Elder Randle again.  He use to serve here in Montego Bay, about 6 months ago, before he was transferred to the Cayman Islands.  Now he is back serving as one of the zone leaders in the North Coast Zone.  We get so attached to these elders. They become just like our sons.  After we had our meeting we went out for lunch.  While we were waiting for our lunch to be served, Sister Lee, our Branch Presidents wife, came in.  So we asked her to join us.

The weather has been great here lately.  The evenings have started to cool off.  The hurricane season is soon over and we were fortunate enough not to have had any real bad weather.  We have had some rain but nothing like last year when tropical storm Nicole hit the island.  The rains have made the island beautiful and green.  Here are a couple of pictures I have taken just lately.

With less than a month left we have so much left to do.  We will be going to Kingston to the mission home to have Thanksgiving dinner with President and Sister Hendricks and all the other senior couples.  We are down to six senior couples besides President and Sister Hendricks.  Senior couples are so needed here in the mission field.  President said that he only has one couple coming as of now.  When we first came, there were ten couples.  After we leave there will only be five couples and one other going home in February.
