We Be Jammin'!: Baptisms and Transfers

On Sunday the 16th of October we had two more baptisms, Brother Michael Ellis and Sister Terrian Leslie. They will be a great asset to the branch. Terrian's daughter, Chevell, was baptised about a month ago. So it is nice to see her mother follow. Terrian has been coming to church faithfully for almost a year now and has been working on preparing herself to be baptised. She is one of the happiest people I have ever met. On this past fast Sunday she stood up and told everyone she was going to be baptised and she would like them all to come. I'm going to post a picture of her and her two daughters below. Like most Jamaican families there isn't a father that lives with them.
Brother Mike is another individual that was truly ready to be baptised. He has the read the Book of Mormon a couple of times and just loves it. Elder Trumpet got him, " Jesus the Christ", and he is so excited to read it.

Today was transfers. We left Montego Bay at 7:00 this morning and drove to Ochi. Elder Hitchcock is being transferred to Spanish Town. It is always hard to have the Elders leave. We get attached to them just like they were family. Below is a picture of Elder Sorensen, Elder Trumpet, and Elder Hitchcock loading his suit cases. We will be getting a new elder tonight and his name is Elder Stubbs. He is from Alberta Canada. We love our missionaries.

On the way home today we stopped and took a picture of the biggest cruise ship in the world. It is called the "Oasis of the Seas". It docks in Falmouth and it holds more people than are in the town itself. The ship holds 5,400 passengers and has 2,394 crew members. That is close to 8,000 total. Unbelievable!
