Last week on Tuesday night we had a couple of Elders from Ochi come and spend the night with us. It was their first experience of visiting the north coast of Jamaica. They loved it even though it was very rainy while they were here. We invited the sister missionaries and a couple of recent converts to come over and have dinner with us and the Elders. Boy can these missionaries eat. Then on Wednesday morning we had district meeting at our house. Elder Sorensen and I had to teach the lesson. The lesson was "Teach People Not Lessons". Which is teaching through the guidance of the spirit by asking questions and listening.
Saturday we had a baptism for a young girl 13 years of age. Her name is Tasheka. Elder Sorensen interviewed her and one of our new converts, Brother Williams, baptised her. It was a great experience for him to honor his priesthood and a blessing in Tasheka's life. Brother Williams has only been a member for two months and was just ordained an Elder last week in Sacrament meeting. He is really progressing well in the church. We need more converts like him here in Jamaica
We have these little crabs that crawl around all over. There was one on our patio last night. I took a picture of it and I'm attaching its picture. They kind of remind me of the hermit crabs the kids buy some times back home. They find abandoned snail shells and make them their home. Snails get quite large here probably due to the tropical climate and all the vegetation they have to eat.
