Cleanup Day at Montego Bay Branch

Today is March 9th and is also Ash Wednesday. It is a holiday here in Jamaica and everyone has it off. So the branch had a cleanup day at the church inside and out. It started at 10:00 A.M. and went for most of the day.

There was painting of the roof, front gate, and grill on the front wall.

All the chairs were taken out of the chapel and all the class rooms. Then they were scrubed clean, rinsed, dried, and returned to their proper place.

Some of the member were busy cleaning all the windows.

Others were cleaning up the yard including Elder Sorensen.

Then there were the faithful sisters who prepared a wonderful dinner of saltfish, yellow yam, green banana, and dumpling. A very Jamaican meal.

Working side by side with these brothers and sisters I really realize how much we have grown to love these people here in Jamaica. They will always be a part of our lives. I thought of the saying many hands make light work. True, true, true.
