Day in Lucea

The first week we were in Jamaica we spent a day with another senior couple, the Russels, who are serving in Lucea. Lucea is another branch just west of Montego Bay about 40 miles. We went to visit Mr. Winters and his family. He is a member and serves as a councilor in the branch presidency in Lucea. He is 96 years old. He rides his bike to church every sunday and goes fishing everyday in a small little fishing boat. He told us a few years ago when he was out fishing he caught a 750 pound marlin (sail fish). It drug him and his boat up and down the coast all day till it finally gave out. His family and friends being worried about him finally found him after dark and helped him bring the fiish in. Simply amazing!
